What is Indian Head Massage ?
Indian Head Massage is an Holistic Therapy which aims to balance the mind, body and spirit. It is incredibly relaxing, and although only working on the upper body, it has the potential to influence every system of the body.
Indian Head Massage has been used in India for 5,000, its origins lie in the traditional Ayurvedic, Indian system of medicine. Although it has only recently been introduced to the West, it has become one of the most popular holistic therapies and has evolved to include the upper back, neck, shoulders, upper arms and back.

Indian Head Massage is incredibly relaxing, it promotes a flow of oxygen to the brain, which in turn can help clear the head, relive congestion, stress, anxiety and tension.

What does a treatment involve ?
An Indian Head Massage usually lasts around 45 minutes, although the first treatment will be a little longer due to a full consultaion taking place prior to treatment. It is performed seated and usually fully clothed, unless there is a preference for oils to be used. Apart from a few exceptions the massage is suitable for most people.
The massage focuses on the head, neck, shoulders, face, upper arms and upper back, and uses a combination of relaxing and simulating moves. Clients usually experience feelings of deep relaxation, and often find a general sense of better health, mood and well being.
